Michael Lamb

Alameda High School math teacher Michael Lamb has been named the school district’s 2013-14 Teacher of the Year. Lamb, who has taught at Alameda High for 21 years and serves as the school’s math department chair, will compete for Alameda County Teacher of the Year honors in the fall. Candidates for the local honor are nominated by parents, students, staff and community members, and are selected by a committee of their peers. Members of the committee said they selected Lamb for his attention and willingness to got he extra mile for students and for his commitment to supporting his peers.
